Social Innovation & Social Enterprise

Businesses that create jobs, services and dignity, and stand on their own feet

Social enterprises are no longer a niche. They run reuse hubs, welfare services, care, inclusion and community services, and they need capital that understands both returns and mission. I have spent more than ten years building these models from the inside. Now I am looking for investors and partners to scale the ones that work.

Why now

Why now

01

Capital meets mission

Impact investors, foundations and family offices are looking for real projects with measurable social value and a business model that can last.

02

Rules are moving

EU social economy policies, ESG reporting along supply chains and public procurement increasingly reward companies that work with social enterprises.

03

Companies need partners

Corporate welfare, CSR and inclusion targets create demand for services that social enterprises can deliver well and at scale.

Where my experience comes from

  • Managing Director of Cooperativa Impresa Sociale Ruah (Bergamo) since 2015: more than 40 projects in social innovation, circular economy, migration, tourism and digital transformation.
  • Relaunch of Triciclo Bergamo, a social-economy reuse hub where work integration and the circular economy meet.
  • Ruah received the “Giusta Transizione” (Just Transition) award for its digital and social approach to ecology (2021).
  • Corporate welfare in practice: an ironing service run by Ruah for the employees of another Bergamo cooperative, delivered by people on job-integration paths.
  • Diaspora and co-development: Bergamo–Senegal Social and Solidarity Economy Forum, hosting institutional delegations at Ruah and Triciclo.

Lesson: A simple digital product can connect a social and environmental problem with everyday consumer behaviour.

Italy

Italian type-B social cooperatives

Under Law 381/1991, these cooperatives integrate disadvantaged people into work while selling real services to companies and municipalities.
